This class is a continuation of topics covered in Fundamentals of Yoga and is perfect for new students or continuing students to refine your practice. This class is a gentle introduction to the practice of yoga. In the Fundamentals of Yoga II class Sun Saluations will be taught to facilitate ease of transition from the fundamentals session to mixed level classes.
This class will explore asana (postures), sun saluations, pranayama (breathing techniques) and relaxation,creating a feeling of calm, yet energized, when you leave the class. Using both classical (slow, meditative, static postures) and flow (sequential movement with breath) styles of asana, tension and anxiety are relieved and a more profound connection with the body is developed.
